Nvidia will supply artificial intelligence hardware and software to Toyota to support smart city construction, intelligent transportation systems, and automobile manufacturing plant operations, and further deepen the 10-year partnership between the two sides that began with autonomous vehicle research and development. Nvidia said in a statement on Thursday that the two companies will deepen cooperation and work to implement AI in the real world. The two sides have also previously collaborated with US-based Ready Robotics to develop software to help improve factory floor safety and production efficiency. “We are expanding our collaboration to drive the development of physical AI from the automotive sector to robotics and smart cities,” said Deepu Talla, vice president of robotics and edge AI at Nvidia. Nvidia CEO Hwang In-hoon led a delegation to Japan this week to expand business and stimulate market enthusiasm for its new technology potential.
