Today, CNPC Dushanzi Petrochemical's Tarim 1.2 million tons/year phase II ethylene and supporting green and low-carbon demonstration project was successfully put into operation once, and it has fully entered the production and operation stage. The project is the first pioneering project in China's refining and chemical industry to implement the concept of green and low-carbon development, and has built the world's first demonstration base for the recycling of ethylene cracked carbon emissions; the commissioning of this project marks the construction of the first 3 million ton ethylene industry base in central and western China, which will change the long-term industrial pattern where domestic ethylene production capacity is highly concentrated in the east and west with weak raw material supply, and enhance the resilience of the national energy and chemical industry chain supply chain.
