Fosun Pharmaceutical (02196): FXR0906 injection approved for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia to conduct clinical trials

Zhitong Finance App News, Fosun Pharmaceutical (02196) announced that recently, Fosun Pharmaceutical Industry Development (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Fosun Pharmaceutical (Shenzhen)”), a holding subsidiary of the company, received approval from the State Drug Administration to conduct clinical trials with FXR0906 injections (hereinafter referred to as “FXR0906”) for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia. Fosun Pharmaceutical (Shenzhen) plans to conduct phase I clinical studies of this drug in China when conditions are met.

According to reports, FXR0906 is a liver-targeted siRNA small interfering nucleic acid drug approved by the group, and the group enjoys exclusive research, development, registration, production and commercialization rights for this drug within China, Hong Kong and Macao regions. FXR0906 reduces serum triglyceride levels through RNA interference technology, silencing the expression of the APOC3 gene, and thus enables treatment of hypertriglyceridemia.

As of June 2026, the Group's cumulative R&D investment for FXR0906 at this stage is approximately RMB 171 million (including licensing fees; unaudited).

As of the date of this announcement (i.e. July 15, 2026), no minor interfering nucleic acid drugs for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia have been approved for marketing in China.
