According to Kaisai Biotech's announcement, the company and its wholly-owned subsidiary Kaisai Biomaterials Co., Ltd. are suing Wang Zhizhou, Ge Minghua, Cao Wubo, Shandong Hanlin Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Chen Yuantong, Fu Shenzhan, the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shandong Guiyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Ningxia Zhongke Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Ningxia Zhongke Biotechnology Co., Ltd. as co-plaintiffs on the grounds of infringement of technical secrets. The company sued the defendant to immediately stop infringing on the plaintiff's technical secrets, destroy production lines, equipment, and drawings involving technical secrets related to the “biological fermentation method for industrial production of long-chain binary acid technology”, and jointly pay compensation of about 967 million yuan for economic losses and 1 million yuan for reasonable expenses. Currently, the case has been filed and accepted, and no trial has yet been held.
