At the press conference, relevant officials explained that in recent years, the Ministry of Natural Resources has continued to carry out unified investigation and monitoring of natural resources, coordinating the implementation of basic natural resources surveys and various special surveys, covering various resources such as land, minerals, forests, grasslands, wetlands, water, oceans, deserts, etc., as well as national parks and other territorial spaces. On the basis of the spatial digital collaborative governance pilot in Zhejiang, Chongqing and other places, data such as basic geographic information, survey and monitoring, property rights, planning, etc. are integrated to construct a “map” of natural resource management and territorial spatial planning, dynamically grasp the status of various resources, and continuously improve the level of refined and intelligent management. The red line of arable land protection has been firmly maintained, and the “trinity” protection pattern of the quantity, quality, and ecology of cultivated land has gradually been formed; the quantity, distribution, development and utilization of 164 types of mineral resources with identified resource reserves has been comprehensively ascertained; the country's forest cover rate has reached 25.09%, and the forest reserves have reached 20.988 billion cubic meters, making it the country with the fastest greening; the mainland's natural shoreline retention rate remains above 35%, and the natural resources base is thicker.
