According to reports, the Japanese government will add footnotes to the new version of the basic economic and fiscal policy policy, citing provisions of the law to guarantee the independence of the Bank of Japan in formulating monetary policy. The report said that in the final version, the Japanese government will call on the Bank of Japan to “properly guide monetary policy with the goal of achieving a steady rise in prices” to clearly indicate that the government has no intention of interfering with monetary policy.
