Iran successfully shipped at least 57 million barrels of crude oil in the short window between the two rounds of US naval blockades. US President Trump said through social media platforms on Monday that the US will resume the blockade of ships entering and leaving Iranian ports and demand compensation of 20% for all other goods transported through this waterway. Less than a month ago, Washington and Tehran reached an interim agreement to ease related restrictions and lift sanctions on Iranian oil sales. During the first and second blockade of Iranian ports by the US military, Iran shipped at least 56 million barrels of crude oil.
