Six US soldiers who survived an Iranian drone attack in Kuwait said that senior military officials ignored multiple warnings, and that the base's defenses were weak and could easily be targeted. They accused senior commanders of deploying troops to dangerous areas lacking complete anti-drone defenses; after the attack, the commander not only did not organize rescue, but instead evacuated the building; and mishandled the transportation and treatment of the wounded after the incident. As a result of this attack, six US soldiers were killed and more than 30 were injured. An internal investigation report did not determine the responsibility of those involved, nor did it suggest any punishment, leaving many surviving soldiers very disappointed and worried that similar mistakes might be repeated.
