The US Central Command issued a statement saying that US Central Command forces will launch the third round of attacks against Iran this week at 7:15 p.m. ET today. Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran blatantly attacked the Cypriot container ship “GFS Galaxy” which was sailing in the Strait of Hormuz. A civilian crew member disappeared, and the ship was unable to continue sailing due to a fire on board and serious damage to the cabin. Iran has previously been held accountable for attacking merchant ships several times. The US side once again gave it a chance to abide by the relevant memorandum of understanding, but Iran once again failed to do so. In response, the US will continue to reduce Iran's ability to attack civilian crew members and merchant ships that normally pass through the strait, causing it to pay a heavy price. The attack was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Supreme Commander of the US Army.
