In order to effectively cope with the strong storms brought about by typhoon No. 9 “Bawe” of this year, the Xuzhou Transportation Comprehensive Administration and Enforcement Detachment implemented a complete suspension of navigation control on ships in the Xuzhou area of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal at 12:00 on July 11. Currently, the Xuzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal has a total of 62 ships and a fleet of 4 vessels waiting to be blocked. All have been suspended and all are anchored in safe waters in an orderly manner.
