The conference elected the new governing body of the China Association for Science and Technology. Wang Guangqian was elected chairman of the 11th National Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology. Sixteen people including You Zheng, Bao Weimin, Feng Shenhong, Qiao Jie, Xiang Qiao, Li Luming, Wu Lizhu, Chen Wei, Chen Xuedong, Chen Jianfeng, He Junke, Mo Zeyao, Xu Tao, Gao Hongjun, and Liao Xiangke were elected vice-chairmen. Yu Junqing and 56 others were elected members of the 11th Standing Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology. The conference passed a decision to award honorary positions to the China Association for Science and Technology, awarding 33 honorary members including Wan Gang and Ma Weiming, honorary chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology.
