China Merchants Shipping announced that the board of directors agreed to build 5 new AFRAMAX tankers equipped with desulfurization scrubbers and shaft generators to be built at CSIC's Dalian shipyard. Delivery is expected to begin in 2029; 4 additional 1,800 TEU container ships and 1 210,000 dwt Newcastle bulk carrier are expected to be delivered in 2028. Of these, 4 container ships and 1 bulk carrier were built by the relevant party China Merchants Ship. Proposals such as the construction of new ships and directors' remuneration plans mentioned above will be submitted to the first extraordinary shareholders' meeting in 2026 for consideration.
