Forson Pharmaceutical (01652): “Doxazosin Mesylate Sustained Release Tablets” approved for marketing

Zhitong Finance App News, Fussen Pharmaceutical (01652) announced that the marketing application for “Doxazosin Mesylate Sustained Release Tablets” (trademark: Yi Jianping) developed by Henan Fuson Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has been approved by the China National Drug Administration and approved for symptomatic treatment of hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

“Doxazosin mesylate extended-release tablets” have now become a first-line drug for treating mild to moderate hypertension at home and abroad, as well as first-line medication for benign prostatic hyperplasia combined with lower urinary tract symptoms. It has advantages such as fast effect, longer effect, more stable release, remarkable effect, easy administration, and not affected by age or mild to moderate impairment of renal function.

Doxazosin mesylate is a selective α1 receptor inhibitor. In humans, doxazosin mesylate can fight phenylephrine (α1 receptor agonist) prostate contraction, reduce peripheral vascular resistance to lower blood pressure, and can also reduce urethral resistance, relieve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and improve urinary flow.
