According to data released by Japan's Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, as of the end of June, Japan's foreign exchange reserves were 1.09 trillion US dollars, which is basically the same as last month. Note: Japan usually uses foreign exchange reserves to intervene in the market to support the yen exchange rate. The value of foreign securities held by Japan was 929 billion US dollars, a slight decrease from 932 billion US dollars last month. The volume of foreign exchange deposits was US$162 billion, roughly the same as last month.
