Posti Group to Trim Workforce by Up to 172 Positions Amid Business Restructuring

08:29 AM EST, 01/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Posti Group (POSTI.HE) said Wednesday a business restructuring and automation of operations in early 2026, to maintain its competitiveness, are expected to result in the layoff of up to 172 permanent employees. The Finnish delivery and logistics company's planned measures include reorganizing its Postal Services unit's delivery operations; automating the mail sorting activities at its Helsinki postal center; transferring shop services from five of its branches to its partner network; and closing other customer service points. Posti, which has over 13,000 employees in Finland, said it aims to keep the workforce reduction as minimal as possible and that it will provide support to the affected staff.
