The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 13, the Shanghai Regulatory Bureau website of the China Financial Supervisory Authority issued an approval approving the qualifications of CHING SZE WAN WINNIE (Cheng Siyun) as chairman of HSBC Life Insurance Co., Ltd. She is required to take office within 2 months from the date the administrative licensing decision is made, and report her employment status to the Shanghai Regulatory Authority within 10 days of appointment. Those who fail to take office within the above stipulated period will lose their eligibility for office.

According to public information, Cheng Siyun has a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from the London School of Economics and a member of the British Association of Actuaries. She has over 20 years of rich work experience in actuarial consulting, insurance, reinsurance, etc., and is particularly good at product solution design and risk management.

Prior to joining HSBC, she worked for the Swiss Re Group for more than 10 years, during which time she was assigned to Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, etc., where she held important positions.
