On April 15, good news came from the construction of the second phase of the key semiconductor project in Anyang County, Henan Mingjiao Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and 50 indium phosphide polycrystal synthesis furnaces were fully commissioned. This top domestic UHF semiconductor material production line has entered the mass production sprint period, which will drive the explosion of domestic indium phosphide core material production capacity and break the overseas supply monopoly. Walking into the second phase production workshop of Mingjia Semiconductor, 50 indium phosphide polycrystal synthesis furnaces were arranged neatly. Technicians paid close attention to equipment parameters and carried out temperature calibration and process debugging in an orderly manner. “Indium phosphide is the core material for high-end optical communications, autonomous driving lidars, 6G radio frequency devices, and AI computing power modules. Its mass production is a 'stuck neck' difficulty in the semiconductor industry. It has long relied on imports, long supply cycles, and high costs, seriously limiting the development of related domestic industries.” Chen Political Committee, founder and chairman of MingGia Semiconductor, explained that demand in the indium phosphide market is currently growing exponentially and ushered in a historic development window. The supply and demand gap between MingGia Semiconductors and clients has reached 50%, and orders are scheduled until the end of next year.
