According to the latest customs data, during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the total value of foreign trade imports and exports in the Yangtze River Delta region reached 77.28 trillion yuan, an increase of 45.5% over the previous year. Among them, exports amounted to 47.26 trillion yuan and imports of 30.02 trillion yuan. Imports and exports to the EU and ASEAN reached 12.42 trillion yuan and 11.22 trillion yuan respectively, up 42.8% and 70.7% year on year, respectively; imports and exports to the “Belt and Road” countries were 36.43 trillion yuan, up 69.6% year on year, contributing more than 60% of the import and export growth of the Yangtze River Delta region.
