07:51 AM EST, 01/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Regional Court of Hamburg in Germany issued a penalty against Ryanair (RYA.IR) for its continued breach of the legal injunction granted to eDreams Odigeo (EDR.MC) in 2025, which required the budget airline to remove prohibited terms on its website. The court said Ryanair defied the judicial order by retaining the banned terms on the website despite having the resources to immediately comply with the mandate, and dismissed the company's defense that the delay was outside its control, according to a Thursday release by eDreams. The online travel company also secured a separate ruling from the Hamburg court, which declared certain of Ryanair's business practices as unlawful, including its deceptive mechanism for securing consent to the terms and conditions, non-refundable policy, and administration fees for government tax refunds. Ryanair did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
