The report shows that in 2025, content e-commerce will account for more than 40% of the overall book retail market, surpassing platform e-commerce to become the largest segmented retail channel. “This change reflects that the book retail market has fully entered the 'content-driven' stage. In particular, content related to emotion and function clearly drives the overall book retail market. There has been a structural shift in public attention and purchasing decision areas.” Yang Wei, chief researcher at Beijing Kaiyuan Information Technology Co., Ltd., said when releasing the report.
