Snam Launches EUR500 Million Green Bonds Offering; Buyback of Notes Due 2028

03:59 AM EST, 01/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Snam (SRG.MI) launched a 500 million-euro green bond offering due in 2031, exchangeable into existing ordinary shares of Italian gas distributor Italgas (IG.MI). The Italian energy infrastructure company also launched a buyback offer to repurchase its outstanding 500 million-euro 3.25% EU Taxonomy-aligned transition bonds due 2028, according to a Wednesday release. The new five-year bonds are expected to carry a fixed coupon between 1.50% and 2.00% and an exchange premium between 22.5% and 27.5% above the average reference share price. The proceeds will be used to fund eligible green projects.
