On the 3rd, the Permanent Mission of Venezuela to the United Nations sent a letter to Aboukar Dahir Osman, the rotating president of the United Nations Security Council and the Permanent Representative of Somalia to the United Nations, strongly condemning the “brutal, unjustifiable, and one-sided” armed aggression against Venezuela by the United Nations and putting forward four requests, including the holding of an emergency meeting of the Security Council. These four demands include urgently convening a Security Council meeting to discuss America's aggression; strongly condemning America's armed aggression against the Venezuelan people and government; demanding that the US military immediately stop armed attacks against Venezuela; and taking necessary measures to hold the US government responsible for its crimes of aggression. The letter said that in the early morning of the 3rd local time, the US military bombed the Venezuelan capital Caracas as well as civilians and military targets in Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira. US special forces used helicopters and planes to launch attacks at various locations in Venezuela. The letter said that the actions of the US side were “premeditated aggression” and blatantly violated the provisions of the United Nations Charter. The US launched this “fatal and betrayal” attack against a country in complete peace with the aim of destroying the current Venezuelan regime and imposing a “puppet government” to plunder the country's oil resources.
