Ukrainian President Zelensky said in a social networking platform today that he met with Budanov, head of the General Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and proposed that he lead the Ukrainian President's office. Zelensky said that currently Ukraine “needs to focus more on security issues, the development of the Ukrainian defense and security forces, and the diplomatic process in negotiations” — the President's office will mainly focus on completing these tasks. On November 28, 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Service of Ukraine and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office searched the home of Yermak, the head of the presidential office at the time. Yermak then submitted his resignation, and Zelensky dismissed him. A week later, Yermak was further dismissed and is no longer a member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the Supreme Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
