According to a report published by Lyon, Macau's gaming revenue in December last year increased 14.8% year-on-year to MOP 20.89 billion, which is in line with the bank's forecast, but it is 3% lower than the market forecast. This means that the average daily gaming revenue for the last ten days of December was MOP 624 million, compared to MOP 698 million per day for the first 21 days. Although investors may have negative opinions on the relevant data, the bank still believes that the continued appreciation of the RMB against the US dollar will support gambling performance. For January of this year, the bank expects Macau's gaming revenue to increase by 18% year-on-year to MOP 21.48 billion, which is higher than the market forecast of 3%. The preferred stocks will maintain Galaxy Entertainment and MGM China. Lyon expects total gaming revenue in Macau to increase by 5% year-on-year in 2026, which is slightly lower than the 5.5% increase expected by the market, and means that the average daily gambling revenue will reach MOP 709 million.
