MTR (00066) Yeung Mei Chun: Future priorities include advancing 6 new railway projects that have already been implemented

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on January 2, the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTR (00066), Yeung Mei Chun, pointed out that another focus of the MTR in the future is to complete the 6 new railway projects that have already been implemented in Lantau, Tuen Mun and the North Capital region, without taking into account the second part of the North Ring Road. The related project investment amount has reached HK$140 billion. Engineering and financial management will be the focus of her work. She looks forward to the completion of these projects one by one. There will be more than 20 new stations between 2027 and 2034.

Yeung Mei Chun said that she is honored and excited to take on the new position. She understands that the new position has great responsibilities. In the future, she will lead the team to serve Hong Kong citizens, stressing that the MTR will keep pace with the times and provide high-quality and resilient railway services.

Yang Mei Zhen pointed out that in the past year, the company introduced different measures to meet cash flow needs, and they have had certain results.
