Yesterday was the first day of the New Year's Day holiday, and the railway ushered in a peak of travel. The Beijing Bureau of China Railway sent 1.56 million passengers, adding 77 pairs of passenger trains, mainly to Harbin, Shenyang, Jilin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, Tianjin, Handan, and Chengde.
