According to the latest statistics from the Yangtze River Three Gorges Navigation Administration, the Three Gorges Hub operated a total of 14,415 gates in 2025, with an annual throughput of 173 million tons, an increase of 8.66% over the previous year. Among them, the Three Gorges Lock passes 170 million tons per year, and the Three Gorges ship lift carries 632,000 passengers a year, both of which are record highs. A total of 46.144,800 tons of civilian biological assets have been guaranteed to cross the dam safely and conveniently, providing an efficient, economical and green logistics channel for the transportation of raw materials and product export in the steel, energy, chemical, automobile and other industries along the river, and directly helping the industrial layout of the Yangtze River Economic Belt to link with the regional economy.
