On December 31, local time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sudan issued a statement saying that the Sudanese government has decided to extend the opening of the Adre border crossing between the country and Chad for another three months from January 1, 2026, until March 31, 2026 to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid supplies from Chad to the Darfur region of western Sudan.
