The General Administration of Customs issued a notice concerning the import declaration of beef products subject to safeguard measures. Among them, it is proposed that the consignee of the imported goods or their agent shall declare to the customs the import of beef subject to the safeguard measures stipulated in Article 2 of Notice No. 87 of 2025 of the Ministry of Commerce shall be declared in accordance with the customs declaration regulations after the means of transport carrying beef with the import guarantee measures have been declared for entry into the country. According to section 3 of the Ministry of Commerce Notice No. 87 of 2025 “Method for Enforcement of Safeguard Measures”, the special beef safeguard measures stipulated in the “Free Trade Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Australian Government” were suspended during the implementation of the safeguard measures. The General Administration of Customs Notice No. 207 of 2019 suspended the implementation of the relevant provisions relating to special protection measures for beef under the “China-Australia Free Trade Agreement”.
