On October 27, 2024, the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Zhongman Babylon Oil & Gas DMCC (Zhongman Babylon Oil & Gas Co., Ltd.) signed a contract for the development and production of the MF block with Midland Oil Company of the Iraq (Central Iraqi Oil Company, representing the Iraqi Ministry of Petroleum). In order to fulfill contractual obligations and advance the initial development plan and subsequent development evaluation work for the MF block, Zhongman Babylon Oil and Gas Co., Ltd. carried out the bidding process for the geological and reservoir research projects related to the MF block in 2025 in strict accordance with the standard procurement procedures of the Ministry of Petroleum of Iraq. After bidding, Xinhuaxia Energy Beijing Branch won the bid for research service projects such as geological research and reservoir research in the MF block in Iraq, with a total bid amount of US$4.4 million (approximately RMB 39.32 million). On December 30, 2025, the Iraq branch of Zhongman Babylon Oil & Gas Co., Ltd. and Xinhuaxia Energy Beijing Branch signed an agreement on the above research service project.
