The Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs have formulated implementation rules for the administration of national tariff quotas for imported New Zealand wool and wool in 2026. The announcement is as follows: 1. Total national tariff quotas The total national tariff quotas in 2026 are: 36,936 tons of New Zealand wool, 665 tons of New Zealand wool, and 44,324 tons of Australian wool. See Annex 1 for the list of wool and wool taxes subject to national tariff quota management. 2. Distribution principle National tariff quotas are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on a contract basis. The Ministry of Commerce will stop accepting applications when the total amount issued reaches the total amount of national tariff quotas in 2026.
