During the New Year's Day holiday, the coast of Fujian will experience a peak in water travel traffic. The Fujian Maritime Administration predicts that from January 1 to 3, 2026, 143 passenger ships will be put into operation along the coast of Fujian, which will send 386,500 passengers, an increase of 51.4% over the same period last year. Among them, 15 passenger ships have been put into operation on the “Xiaosantong” passenger route between the two sides of the Strait. They will launch 108 flights and send 21,500 passengers, an increase of 51.3% over the same period last year.
