12:01 PM EST, 12/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Swiss Market Index wrapped up the shortened final trading week of the year 0.20% in the green ahead of the New Year and Berchtholdstag holidays. The SIX Swiss Exchange is set to reopen on Jan. 5, 2026. Switzerland's KOF Economic Barometer improved to 103.4 points in December from 101.7 points in November, mainly reflecting positive developments in the production side indicators. "The KOF Economic Barometer continues in December its upward movements of the previous months. At the end of this year, the outlook for the Swiss economy for the start of 2026 is above average," the KOF Swiss Economic Institute said. "A particularly favourable outlook is shown by the indicators for manufacturing. Among the demand side indicators however, both the indicator bundles for private consumption as well as for foreign demand are under pressure." Over to corporates, Mobilezone (MOZN.SW) gained 1.53% at Tuesday's close as it concluded the sale of its mobilezone Deutschland business in Germany as part of efforts to focus exclusively on its operations in Switzerland. The Swiss telecommunications group plans to use the proceeds from the transaction to bolster inorganic growth in its home market and reduce short-term debt. In other news, Montana Aerospace (AERO.SW) Co-Chief Executive Officer Kai Arndt took on the role of CEO, following the aerospace company's completion of its portfolio optimization. Meanwhile, co-CEO and Chief Financial Officer Michael Pistauer was elected to the group's board of directors, with Patrick Maurer taking over as CFO. The leadership changes will become effective from Jan. 1, 2026. The stock closed the session 0.71% higher.
