According to the Zhitong Finance App, Air China (00753) announced that on December 30, 2025, the company and Air China Import and Export Corporation signed an Air China aircraft purchase agreement with Airbus. Based on this, the company agreed to purchase 60 Airbus A320NEO series aircraft from Airbus.

The total catalogue price of the Airbus aircraft that the company will purchase is approximately US$9.53 billion.

The transaction is in line with the company's development plans and market needs, and helps the Group optimize its fleet structure and long-term capacity supplement. The transaction will expand the carrying capacity of the Group's fleet without considering adjustments such as aircraft withdrawal that may be made based on the market environment and aircraft age. Based on the Group's usable tonnage as of December 31, 2024, the transaction will increase the Group's capacity by about 6.5%. The new aircraft will be delivered in batches from 2028 to 2032. The actual net increase in capacity will remain within a manageable range in part to meet the renewal needs of the old aircraft fleet.
