Spanish Annual Inflation Rate Eases to 2.9% in December, Flash Data Shows

03:17 AM EST, 12/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Spain's annual inflation eased to 2.9% in December from 3% in November, according to provisional data from the National Statistics Institute published Tuesday. The reading is above the consensus estimate of 2.8%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices in Spain were up 0.3%, against the previous 0.2% jump. The Spanish annual harmonized inflation rate came in at 3%, in line with the market forecast and lower than the previous 3.2%. Month over month, harmonized consumer prices grew 0.3%, compared with the zero growth earlier. Meanwhile, the country's annual core inflation rate was stable at 2.6%.
