Today, the reporter learned from the State Pipeline Network Group that construction of the East Guangdong LNG Terminal gas storage project has officially started. The project will build the world's largest onshore thin-film liquefied natural gas storage tank, marking an important technological breakthrough in the construction of large-scale liquefied natural gas storage and transportation facilities in China. The East Guangdong LNG Terminal is an important hub for the natural gas storage and transportation network in South China. It has the functions of a full chain of liquefied natural gas discharge, storage, transfer, gasification and outbound transportation. The gas storage project started this time is a core expansion and upgrade project for the receiving station. Using internationally advanced thin-film storage tank technology, 3 new thin-film liquefied natural gas storage tanks with a diameter of nearly 100 meters were built, with a gas storage capacity of 470 million cubic meters.
