The China Meteorological Administration held a press conference this morning to release the characteristics of the national weather and climate for December 2025, the weather forecast for the New Year's Day holiday and the next ten days, climate trend forecasts for January 2026, and weather service tips. Generally, precipitation was weak in most parts of our country during the New Year's Day holiday. Temperatures in the central and eastern part were low, and the south was clearly wet and cold. There is light rain and snow only in parts of eastern Tibet, the Sichuan Basin, northern Yunnan, eastern Jiangnan, and southern Jianghuai; most of the rest of China has less than 1 mm of precipitation or no precipitation; in terms of temperature, temperatures in most parts of central and eastern China are 1 to 3 ℃ lower than the same period of the year, while eastern Jiangnan, eastern South China, and parts of Hubei and Henan are more than 4 degrees Celsius lower; on the morning of January 3, the 0℃ line will push the south to south-central Jiangnan.
