Tatang Yuliono, Deputy Minister of Coordination of Food Affairs in charge of trade and food distribution in Indonesia, said the government will allow 3.12 million tons of industrial sugar to be imported next year. The government will also allow 508,360 tons of sugar to be imported as an incentive for exporters. The government decided that sugar products for household consumption will no longer be imported in 2026.
