During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China continuously strengthened the supply of geographic information services. The National Geographic Information Resource Catalogue Service System published a total of 8.09 million catalogues of various types of resources, and the total number of standard maps published nationwide reached 13,000, forming a three-level service structure at the national, provincial and municipal levels. The emergency surveying and mapping support system has been further improved, and it has the ability to obtain high-resolution remote sensing images of the site within 6 hours of an emergency and provide the first batch of emergency surveying and mapping results within 12 hours. At the same time, Sky Map has been completely revised to gather and publish 24 thematic information such as planning, topography, and forest grass on a single geographic basemap. Meanwhile, the geographic information industry is booming. An autonomous driving map standard system has been gradually established, and autonomous driving map products covering ordinary roads below L3 level in large and medium-sized cities across the country have been widely used. Innovative applications in fields and scenarios such as smart logistics, smart cities, and digital rural construction are also deepening. At the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the total output value of China's geographic information industry is expected to exceed 900 billion yuan, an increase of more than 30% over the 13th Five-Year Plan period, with more than 4 million employees.
