Currently, 500 marriage registration offices across the country have selected sites such as parks to create a registration environment with both ceremonial and commemorative significance. In the field of marriage and family counseling, the coverage rate of counseling offices at marriage registration offices at or above the county level continued to increase, reaching 3,029 by the end of 2024. A relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Civil Affairs said at the meeting that in terms of marriage management, the next step of the Ministry of Civil Affairs will be to strengthen the construction of a basic marriage information base to raise the level of nationwide co-operation; at the same time, it will work with relevant departments to standardize matchmaking services, study and formulate civilized and simple wedding ceremony standards in the new era, establish a marriage and family counseling service system, and promote a positive view of marriage and childbearing.
