The Meitai Expressway is a key highway project of the national “14th Five-Year Plan” and the first “transport+tourism” integration demonstration project in Shaanxi Province. It is known as the “most beautiful highway” in Shaanxi Province. Chen Wei, head of the Meitai Expressway Project of the 21st Bureau of China Railway, explained that the highway is about 75 kilometers long. It passes through Fufeng County, Meixian County, and Taibai County in Baoji City. The end point is connected to the Taifeng Expressway. The line is built using two-way four-lane highway standards. The line connects various scenic spots such as Taibai Mountain, Honghe Valley, and Aoshan Ski Resort, etc., and the scenery along the way is beautiful. The opening of the Meitai Expressway will further connect Xi'an in Shaanxi, Taibai, Longnan in Gansu, and northern Sichuan to form a longitudinal channel connecting the Lianhuo, Ten Days, and the Beijing-Kunming Expressway. It will play an important role in strengthening links between Guanzhong and Shaanxi, improving the Shaanxi Expressway network, unblocking traffic arteries between Sichuan and Shaanxi, promoting the development of the ice and snow economy, and promoting high-quality regional development.
