First, pilot colleges and universities are selected and determined by the State Council Degree Commission Office within the scope of independent review units for doctoral degree awarding qualifications based on factors such as the construction of cross-disciplinary platforms and the quality of talent training. Second, relevant colleges and universities rely on interdisciplinary platforms, interdisciplinary innovative research teams, scientific research projects, etc. to organize and set up a small number of projects on a pilot basis. Third, the training target of the project should be a small number of doctoral students capable of completing their doctoral studies and studying for a relevant master's degree.
