In a televised speech, Maduro stressed that Venezuela “desires peace, will always defend its right to peace and a future, and stand on the side of justice.” Maduro said that if the US side is willing to engage in dialogue with the Commission on the basis of mutual respect and abandon the interfering policy that has failed over the past 25 years, he is willing to lend a hand of friendship and jointly explore the path to peace, cooperation, and prosperity.
