Korean scientists have developed a new anodeless lithium metal battery with a volumetric energy density as high as 1,270 watt-hours/liter, which is about twice that of mainstream lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles. This achievement is expected to double the range of electric vehicles, and the relevant paper was published in the new issue of “Advanced Materials” magazine.
