On December 26, 2025, CNPC and State Grid Yingda Group signed a share transfer agreement to transfer their 379,262,372 A-share shares of the company to the State Grid Yingda Group. This transfer will not result in a change in the controlling shareholder and actual controller of the company, but it is still subject to approval by the State Assets Administration Commission and registration of the transfer. After the transfer was completed, China Petroleum Group's shareholding ratio fell to 74.35%, and the State Grid Yingda Group held 3.00% of the shares.
