On December 25, local time, a church in Nigeria's Niger State issued a statement saying that after thorough understanding and verification, the kidnapping incident at St. Mary's Catholic School in Papiri Town, Agwara local government district of the state occurred in the early morning of November 21. A total of 230 teachers and students were kidnapped, including 12 faculty and staff, 14 middle school students, and 204 elementary school students. Currently, all 230 teachers and students have been rescued.
