Recently, the General Administration of Market Regulation issued the “Mandatory Product Certification E-commerce Platform Online Verification Technology Application Specification”, which aims to guide and standardize e-commerce platforms to carry out online verification of qualification information such as mandatory product certification certificates for online products such as home appliances, toys, consumer electronics, electrical switches, etc., and explore a new path to protect consumer rights and promote high-quality development of the platform economy through data empowerment and social co-governance. This standard is the first industry standard in China to regulate e-commerce platforms to carry out qualification verification work for online sales products. It further regulates the qualification verification work of online sales products, and addresses the problems that e-commerce platforms encounter in online inspection work such as inconsistent technical terms, unstandardized technical methods, and inconsistent management requirements.
