The reporter learned from China Railway Group that the Wuhan to Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing Rongjiang High Speed Rail will open and operate tomorrow. Wuhan to Yichang can be reached in 69 minutes as fast as possible, and a new fast passenger transport channel will be added between the Jianghan Plain and the western Hebei region. The total length of the Wuyi section of the Shanghai-Chongqing Yangjiang High-Speed Rail is 314 kilometers, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It has 8 stations: Hankou, North Hanchuan, Tianmen, Jingshan South, Zhongxiangnan, Jingmen West, Dangyang West, and Yichang North. The Wuyi section of the Shanghai-Chongqing Rongjiang High-Speed Rail is an important part of the riverside channel of China's “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed rail network. It is connected to the Wuhan hub in the east and the Yichang to Fuling high-speed railways under construction in the west. After the opening and operation of the line, a dual-channel high-speed rail pattern between Wuhan and Yichang was formed with the existing Hanyi section of the Shanghai-Rong High Speed Rail to facilitate people's travel along the route and promote the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
