On December 24, the 2025 Northeast Fujian Collaborative Development Zone and Fuzhou Metropolitan Area Joint Conference was held in Pingtan. Guo Ningning, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Committee, Secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee, convener of the Northeast Fujian Collaborative Development Zone Joint Conference, and head of the Fuzhou Metropolitan Area High Quality Development Leading Group, presided over and delivered a speech. The conference reviewed “Certain Opinions on Deepening Regional Cultural Tourism Cooperation to Promote the Integrated Development of Global Tourism”, “Northeast Fujian Collaborative Development Zone, Fuzhou Metropolitan Area Work Status in 2025 and Work Proposals for 2026”, and “Northeast Fujian Collaborative Development Zone and Fuzhou Metropolitan Area Key Collaborative Projects in 2025”. The “Four Cities and One District” signed 14 cooperation agreements, including the “Northeast Fujian Collaborative Development Zone and the Fuzhou Metropolitan Area to Jointly Promote Regional Cultural Tourism Cooperation and Cooperation Agreement”. The conference pointed out that “four cities and one district” should focus on unblocking mountain and sea arteries to jointly promote infrastructure connectivity; focus on strengthening industrial collaboration to jointly build a modern industrial system; focus on deepening cross-strait integration to jointly build the happiest home for Taiwanese compatriots, Taiwanese enterprises, and Taiwanese youth; focus on comprehensive green transformation to jointly construct a broad pattern of protection and management from the top of the mountain to the ocean; and focus on improving people's livelihood and welfare, and jointly creating a high quality of life. It is necessary to consolidate responsibilities, improve mechanisms, strengthen the connection of planning goals, spatial layout coordination, and collaboration on important matters, and gather strong synergy to promote the collaborative development of Northeast Fujian and the construction of the Fuzhou metropolitan area.
