03:09 AM EST, 12/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Litigation Capital Management (LIT.L) said Wednesday that the Federal Court of Australia set adverse costs in the Queensland electricity class action it funded at AU$32.4 million, following the claimant's unsuccessful case against Stanwell Corp. and CS Energy. The court ordered payments of AU$16.2 million each to Stanwell and CS Energy. After applying after-the-event insurance, the uninsured component totals AU$19.9 million, leaving the alternative asset manager exposed to AU$12.9 million. The balance will be paid by Fund 1 investors. An appeal against the judgment is scheduled for a two-week hearing starting March 2, 2026. Litigation Capital is also considering a separate appeal against the quantification.
